Pop Song is a sound installation and sculpture where the voice of the artists six year old niece sings “I Wanna Know What Love Is” by the band Foreigner. This is amplified through an oud where the singer calls to the listener like a call to prayer. She brings into question ideas of love and the burden she carries as she moves into the future. She sings into her great grandfathers grave - echoing into a silent chamber where only she feels the effects of generations past.
